Orders
I placed an order but did not get a confirmation email. What should I do?
First check your spam or promotions folder, since confirmation emails sometimes land there. If you still can't find it, email us at fastenerhero@gmail.com with the name and email address you used at checkout and we will look up your order.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Email us at fastenerhero@gmail.com as soon as possible with your order number. If your order has not been prepared for shipping yet, we will do our best to update or cancel it. Once an order has shipped it can't be changed, but you can still return eligible items under our 14-day return policy.
What currency are your prices in?
All prices are in US dollars (USD). If you have a question about customs before you order, email us and we will help.

Where do you ship?
We currently ship to addresses in the United States only.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is a flat $6.99 per order. Orders of $79 or more ship free.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Most orders arrive within 7–14 business days, including 1–3 business days to process. Orders ship from our partner warehouse in China.
How do I track my order?
We email you a tracking number as soon as your order ships. Tracking updates can take a few days to appear after the label is created. If your order has more than one package, you will get tracking for each one.
Returns
What is your return policy?
You can return items within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in their original packaging. For change-of-mind returns, the customer pays the return shipping.
How do I start a return?
Email us at fastenerhero@gmail.com with your order number, the items you want to return and the reason. We will reply with return instructions and the return address. Please don't send items back before you contact us, because we can't match packages that arrive without a return request.
My item arrived damaged, defective or wrong. What now?
We're sorry about that. Contact us within 7 days of delivery and include photos of the item and the packaging. We will send a replacement or give you a refund.
When will I get my refund?
Once your return arrives and we have inspected it, we refund the original payment method and email you to confirm. Your bank or card provider may take a few extra days to show the refund.
Products
Is this journal real leather or vegan leather?
We sell both. Each product page lists the cover material: genuine leather or cowhide items say so, and vegan leather items are listed as PU, faux or vegan leather. If a listing is unclear, email us before you order.
Which inserts fit my TN-style cover?
Check the size listed on the cover's product page (for example passport, pocket, regular or A6) and choose inserts in the same size. If you already own inserts, measure the page height and width and compare them with the listed dimensions.
What does gsm mean for journal paper?
Gsm stands for grams per square meter, a measure of how heavy a paper is. Everyday copy paper is about 80 gsm (source), so a journal with 100 or 120 gsm paper feels noticeably thicker. We list the paper weight on the product page when it is available.
Care
How do I care for a leather journal?
Wipe the cover with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and let it air-dry away from heaters and hair dryers. Keep it out of strong direct sunlight to limit fading. If you want to condition genuine leather, use a small amount of leather conditioner and test it on a hidden spot first. Natural leather will darken and soften with use, which is normal.
How do I care for PU or vegan leather?
Wipe it clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap if needed, then dry it with a soft towel. Don't use leather oils or conditioners made for natural leather, and store it away from heat so the surface stays smooth.
